ABOUT ME
I’m from Texas, been riding for 16+ years and have four horses right now in my care. I compete in barrel racing, but also know many other disciplines very well! My first lesson I took were on a reining horse where I learned the foundations of how reiners are ridden and taught. I spent 7+ years being an apprentice to a western pleasure trainer, who also has ridden/trained cutters and barrel horses, which expanded my knowledge on cutters. I worked for Lorissa Merritt over the summer of 2018. I went to a horse camp and took lessons on how to jump as well!
Fun Facts:
-I’m the last female from the WT Waggoner Ranch, who had the Poco Bueno stud! I’m hoping to carry on my name in the horse world!
-Dale Brisby is my cousin!
-I’m a full time college student at Tarleton State University, and I’m majoring in AgBusiness with a concentration in Personal Business Finance Planning. I'm also minoring/getting a certificate in Equine Science. I’m working with my horses everyday, so it gets pretty busy during the school year.
-All my horses that I’ve had since starting my career have been named after cars. Turbo, Diablo, Maverick, and Enzo are all car based names, and all the horses I have from now on will also be named after cars. My dad named me after his favorite(Shelby Cobra), so I thought it would be an awesome theme that already goes with my own name!
